Unleash your potential with the Senior Strikers.
Savannah Senior Strikers
Savannah Senior Strikers was formed in 2006, by a group of men that enjoyed golfing. Norman Mitchell, Willie Bryant and Bobby Hamilton would get together on Wednesday to play.
After some time had passed more men (Freddie Young, Edward Smith and Ernest Grant) joined with them. Under the leadership of Norman Mitchell, it was suggested that the group needed a name and that's when the group of men that love playing golf became "Savannah Senior Strikers". Norman Mitchell was the first president, as time went on membership continued to increase. Norman was confronted with family health issues and was given an emeritus status. During the time Norman dedicated himself to his family, Edward (Sonny) Smith stepped up and became the leader of Savannah Senior Strikers. In 2012, Harold Brown was officially voted in as president of Savannah Senior Strikers. Savannah Senior Strikers is a charitable organization, proceeds from their Annual Golf Tournaments are used to support charitable organizations.
We are a 501 (c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code.
The Savannah Senior Strikers Golf Club is thrilled to announce our commitment to making a positive impact in our community. By supporting them, we hope to contribute towards creating a brighter future for those in need.
